Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera, Bahamas

These are the flats areas in and around Governor's Harbour. You can wade here and see plenty of bonefish among other things. There are modest lodgings right in town within walking distance. We stayed at Laughing Bird Apartments. It's small, reasonably priced, comfortable, and as the owner said on the phone, the bonefish are right outside the door! There is a Club Med on the ocean side of the island to stay away from!!

There are several restaurants in the area and a good market if you are doing your own cooking. There is also a guide in town if you'd like one. I don't know how he is with fly fishing. The one time I saw him with a sport he was chumming shrimp and the sport was using baited spinning gear. They weren't getting anything.
