A NEW YEAR'S TO REMEMBER January, 1997

This New Year's we decided to do something different. The only image I had in my mind was to stay over night at a quiet bed & breakfast, have a wonderful meal and ring in the New Year with a small group of people. Well my wish was granted when we found the Captain Farris House in Yarmouth on Cape Cod. They were offering just the package we were looking for! A beautiful suite with jacuzzi, welcoming wine and cheese gathering, a magnificent 6 course dinner with a champagne toast at midnight, plus a fabulous brunch the next morning. There were only 6 couples which we found to be just the right number. I can't say enough about the hospitality and the cooking! We cert ainly had a wonderful time thanks to our hosts, Steve and Patty. We hope to do it again next year, but we should be back well before then. The house is located right near the Bass River, so we will be sure to return for some good fishing and biking!
